🙌 Called to MERCY: loving others as God has loved us
Holding Scripture in our hearts, encountering mercy in confession, and a sweet-tart recipe for Lemon Mercy Bars
I sometimes hold people to standards I struggle to meet myself. A forgotten text, a careless comment, a moment of weakness—and I can be quick to judge. But then I remember the ways God meets me in my own mess, not with harshness, but with tenderness.
Mercy isn’t soft or weak. It’s a powerful act of love—a choice to see others through God’s eyes, even when it’s hard. And sometimes the hardest person to show mercy to is… ourselves.
This week, I’m sharing a Scripture verse to hold in our hearts, a nudge toward the sacraments, and a simple recipe for Lemon Mercy Bars. Let’s reflect on what it means to live mercy. Where is God inviting us to be more gentle, more forgiving, more open-hearted—with others, and with ourselves? Let’s walk this path together and allow God’s mercy to transform us from the inside out.
