✝️ Embracing SACRIFICE: finding grace in giving of ourselves
exploring Lenten sacrifice in our hearts and in the kitchen
Sacrifice isn’t glamorous. It’s often unseen, unappreciated, and—let’s be real—sometimes really hard. Whether it’s putting others first when we’re exhausted, giving without expecting anything in return, or letting go of something we want for the sake of something greater, sacrifice asks more of us than we’d often like to give.
But here’s the beauty of it: sacrifice is at the heart of love. Every small, hidden act of giving shapes us, softens us, and makes us more like Christ. He didn’t just talk about love—He showed it through the ultimate sacrifice of the cross.
This week, I’m sharing classic art, inspiring music, and a simple Lenten recipe to help us reflect on the sacrifices we’re called to in our daily lives. What is God asking us to offer up? How can we embrace sacrifice—not as something to resent, but as a path to deeper love and holiness?
