Reflection: Kings from far-off lands kneel before the Christ Child, and their act of homage reminds us of Jesus’ assurance to his followers: “Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom” (Luke 12:32).

The Magi traveled in faith, undeterred by the unknown, trusting the star to lead them. Likewise, as we approach Christmas, we are called to trust in God’s promises, even in life’s uncertainties. We may feel small or unworthy, but Christ comes for us, his little flock, to offer salvation and eternal joy.
