💔 Healing through FORGIVENESS: letting go and trusting God
saints, sacraments, music, a recipe, and a letter we will never send
Forgiveness is hard. Sometimes, I think I’ve forgiven someone, only to feel that familiar sting when their name comes up again. Or I catch myself replaying an old hurt in my mind, as if holding onto it will somehow make it right.
But God calls us to something more. True forgiveness isn’t about pretending we weren’t hurt or letting someone off the hook—it’s about setting ourselves free. It’s about trusting that God’s justice and mercy are greater than our own.
This week, let’s reflect together on the grace of forgiveness. We will reflect on the example of St. Patrick (along with a hymn and a simple recipe!), encourage each other to find mercy in the sacrament of confession, and discover healing that can come from writing a letter we will never send. Where is God inviting us to let go?
How can we make space for healing in our hearts? Let’s lean into God’s mercy and find the freedom he longs to give us.
