Obedience isn’t always easy. For me, it often feels like surrendering control, letting go of my plans, and trusting that God’s ways are better than my own. And if I’m honest, that can feel uncomfortable—especially when I don’t fully understand what he’s asking of me.
But obedience is a powerful act of faith. Mary shows us that with her simple “fiat” in response to God’s call. It’s not about blind submission; it’s about trusting in God’s love and wisdom, even when the path ahead feels uncertain. He’s our good father. Obedience frees us from the burden of control and allows us to experience the peace that comes from aligning our will with God’s.
This week, let’s reflect together on the virtue of obedience. How can we learn to listen for God’s voice, trust in his plans, and respond with open, willing hearts?
Want to grow in virtue and find more peace, balance, and joy in life?
