Behold spoke to me so that I needed to look this word up
be sure to see
'Behold' is used 1,298 times in the King James version of the Bible. It is derived from the Greek word 'eido,' which has the literal translation of: be sure to see
Thank you for this preparation, I am looking to see how I can be the servant of the Lord, open to His will this advent and always.
Thank you, Danielle. Your voice is so soothing; it makes me slow down and want to pause in my thoughts and actions so that I can try to listen to God and grow through His grace and love. He is blessing me with your guidance. The words that stood out to me were, “Let it be done to me as you say”. How often I want things to be my own way. It’s powerful and humbling to be like Mary, trust in God, and want His will to be done. (Also, a little scary, as I’m not sure what He may ask me to go through).
I am very much looking forward to doing this daily this Advent! Thank you Danielle!
The phrase, ‘Your word’ stood out to me. It echoed in my head loudly. Maybe it’s a message to me to cast my anxieties aside and follow His word?! Not only to read it, follow it and to LIVE IT!
Thank you Danielle for leading us in this spiritual exercise for Advent. The word that stands out to me in Luke 1:38 is Handmaid. Mary a simple servant of God, a humble heart trusts and surrenders to His will and becomes to us a model of holiness. When I look at the art work, a quiet, obedient handmaid brings forth courage, strength..

Thank you for sharing these thoughts, Cathy! I totally agree about the "scary" part... it's so hard sometimes! God bless your Advent!

Thanks so much. I've started my journal at long last. The discipline of the questions have inspired my thoughts!
