My daughter will be a senior in high school next year and I can’t believe it! She’s never been away from home really outside of going to my mother in law’s home. I don’t know how I am going to do it! She on the other hand will be just fine!
Wow - that made me cry. So many parallels - so many experiences that you so beautifully write about. We don't get that much snow in England though and my tree gets stuffed back Into box and sat on to tie it up! I'm counting blessings. X Thank you Danielle. X
Love this post, Danielle. I’m living with empty spaces too (Grace got married New Years Eve… only one left at home). Thanks for those encouraging words.
That's beautiful Danielle. I too am an empty nester. I love when everyone is together. It's blissful chaos. We have 4 grandchildren now. It's the most wonderful blessing we have received.
So beautiful! I am just entering into the letting go phase, as my oldest is 18 and a senior in HS. I’ve gotten a glimpse into how hard it is going to be to let go and trust in God and my son. Grateful for any and all wisdom you can share with us!
This spoke to me. My oldest is only 12, but every stage each child passes is a little sad…but so grateful to have front row seats to see who they are becoming. As we have heard before…it’s ’bittersweet’! Such an honor 🩷
Yes and amen. These posts always speak to me like a wise big sister sharing from further down the road.
Thank you Krista! I love that you see it that way.
So true all you stated. It is difficult but amazing watching our children grow into the person God created them to be❤️❤️
Beautifully said and so many wonderful memories!!!
Thank you so much, Jeanne! God bless you and your family!

You will do it, Jodi. And the fact that "she will be just fine" will actually be a trenendous help to you. Praying for you!
Beautiful and a reminder that the days are long but the years are short
That is so true!!
I’m weepy, too…and my girls are only 3.5 years and 11 months ❤️ beautifully written. Thank you, Danielle!
Thank you Jenn! Squeeze those sweet girls for me!

Thank you so much, Whitney, good to hear from you! Awwwww, congratulations to Grace! Wishing all of you every good thing...
My now 22-year old had the same Barbie Princess costume. It’s a humbling journey.
💔❤️

Blissful chaos! I like that, Bernadette. God bless you!
So very glad you're leaving room for inspired posts from your heart. They are still my favorite all these years later. 💕
Awwww Anne, you are a long-timer! Thank you so much for being here and still encouraging me after all these years. :)

Thank you Tiffany! Motherhood truly is one long series of "letting go" isn't it? God bless you and your family!
You recently wrote something with that in the title…’letting go and giving thanks’. Right??

Ooo, thanks for posting!!!
Yes! A great book for any stage of mothering. I should probably re-read it!
Heartfelt tribute to the blessings of love and family! “To everything there is a season” as Ecclesiastes says.
