I loved this! I can definitely relate to the many blessings that come from saying yes to the unexpected. My top two unexpected blessings are that I have 7 kids, instead of the 3 I had always planned on, and that I am homeschooling. Homeschooling was never even on my radar, until we decided to homeschool my 4th child in kindergarten. Then the following year we made the crazy decision to pull my then 6th, 8th, and 10th graders out of school and start homeschooling. No, they were not happy about it, but now, three years later as I homeschool 1st, 3rd, 8th, 10th, and 12th graders, I can see so many blessings that came from that decision. I am so thankful I listened to that calling and didn’t let fear talk me out of it!!
Thanks! 18, 16, 14, 9, 7, 4, and 1! It was definitely a hard transition for my oldest three, but worth it! Finding homeschool baseball and cross country teams definitely helped them, since our state doesn’t allow homeschoolers to play on the public school teams. My parents, who used to be anti-homeschool, have been great supporters and love to point out the beautiful changes they see in our family and kids. It helps to have that encouragement, especially on the rough days!
Wow how beautiful. My parents were also not super positive but recently expressed they wished I could homeschool my brother's children. Your family sounds divine.

I love your story, Jennie! God’s plans are so much better than our own. Thank you for sharing!
That's so beautiful! Homeschooling also wasn't on our radar at all. Such a blessing. How old are your children now?
