Day 2: The Communication Gap in Marriage—and How to Bridge It
Day 3: From Daily Drudgery to Choosing Joy
Day 4: Pray Together, Stay Together
Day 5: Boost Your Marriage With Simple Gratitude
Do you feel like your marriage could use a boost? Maybe you’re longing for a deeper connection with your husband or just want to invest some intentional time in your relationship. Whatever your current season of life, I’m excited to invite you to our 5-Day Marriage Challenge, October 21-25.
This is a special opportunity for Catholic women to focus on nurturing and strengthening their marriages in a practical, prayerful way.
Here’s how the challenge works:
What to Expect Each Day
Each day of the challenge, you'll receive a short reflection designed to encourage and inspire you in your married relationship. These reflections will focus on key aspects of married life such as communication, sacrificial love, finding joy, and the role of faith in your relationship.
But we won't stop at reflection! This challenge is all about action, connection, and prayer. Every day, you'll get:
Lectio Divina Guided Meditation: Take a few minutes each day to center your heart with a 5-minute guided Lectio Divina meditation. These moments of quiet reflection will help you invite God into your heart and your marriage.
Group Chat Discussion: Through Substack’s chat feature, we’ll have the chance to connect with other women in the challenge. It’s a place to share your thoughts on the day’s reflection, encourage one another, and be inspired by the wisdom and experiences of fellow Catholic wives. Each day, I’ll post a prompt to kick off our discussions.
Practical Action Items: You’ll receive two simple action items each day that you can easily do to enhance your marriage. These aren’t big, complicated tasks, but small, powerful steps that can lead to real, positive change.
Journaling Questions: Each day, you’ll get thought-provoking questions to help you reflect more deeply on your marriage and how God is calling you to grow in love, patience, and understanding.
Special Event: Live Q&A on Marital Intimacy with Dr. Sarah Bartel
I’m especially excited to announce a live video call on Wednesday, October 23, with Dr. Sarah Bartel, a Catholic marriage expert. We’ll be diving into the important topic of marital intimacy—an area that can be tough to talk about but is so vital for the health and happiness of our marriages. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions in a safe, supportive, faith-centered space. Get more information and register for the live here!

I have been married for 34 years. I am entering a new stage in my marriage. My house seems to be getting more and more empty by the day. My children don't need the camp counselor mom to keep them organized any longer. My youngest is in his senior year of high school. The older two finished graduate school and are on their way to careers. Now, it is circling back to my husband and me. I am feeling like our marriage needs work. But, at the same time feeling guilty for this too. I am ready to dive into the challenge open-minded and pray to encounter some wonderful women of faith.
